About
Leonardo Amico creates performances and experiences using sound and visual media. His work explores situations in which effects are disproportionate to their causes and resist immediate legibility. His current practice investigates these ideas through sound, silence, vibration, holes, and shadows.
Until 2021, Leonardo created interaction design product concepts and installations. His work was exhibited at Digital Design Weekend at the V&A (2016), Dutch Design Week (2015), Salone del Mobile (2015), and Adhocracy (2015), and featured by The Guardian, BBC, and Fast Company. Scout received a Core77 Design Award (2019). He was selected for the Fabrica residency (Italy, 2014–2015). Full works archive.
Alongside his art practice, Leonardo works as a digital product designer. He is based in Tokyo, Japan.
